Painting onsite in coastal Humboldt County, California, allows me to capture the exceptional landscapes and wild beauty. Working within a limited timeframe during plein air sessions has taught me to relinquish the pursuit of precision and instead focus on capturing the mood and essence of a place, observing the colors and ever-changing light, translating a moment onto paper.
